Worn on the ear close to the hearing aid, the Link-it is designed with three directional microphones, and transmits sound t oa BTE or ITE through the hearing aid's built-in telecoil. Many people have found this assistive listening aid effective in restaurants and noisy, reverberant areas (such as large public buildings, large meeting rooms, airports and in the car) where it is difficult for even normal-hearing persons to understand speech well.
