Oregon AT Program Advisory Council

Dynamic, Energetic Volunteer Wanted

The Council for Oregon's Assistive Technology Program serves in an advisory capacity, assisting Access Technologies, Inc. in accomplishing the Program goals and mission with measurable outcomes. Our consumer-responsive, consumer-driven committee meets three times a year; providing advice for planning, implementing, and evaluating activities carried out through the grant.

Oregon’s Statewide Assistive Technology Program’s Advisory Council membership includes consumer representatives, as well as representatives from the Commission for the Blind, Department of Education, Department of Human Services, Independent Living Resources, Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and Workforce Investment.

We are currently recruiting for a consumer representative. Consumer representatives must be a person with a disability or a family member of a person with a disability that uses assistive technology devices or services. As a consumer representative you will work with other consumers and professionals to assist Access Technologies, Inc. in making assistive technology accessible, usable, timely and more affordable for Oregon residents with disabilities.

If you are interested in joining the Advisory Council please contact Laurie Brooks by email at info@accesstechnologiesinc.org or by telephone at 503-361-1201 to request an application.
