If your work status recently changed go to the OHP website to see if you are eligible for health insurance through the Oregon Health Plan (OHP).

If you have health insurance, Consumer and Business Services arranged for several insurance companies to waive co-pays and deductibles if you’re tested for COVID-19. This includes testing at an in-network doctor’s office, urgent care or emergency room.

This can be a very difficult time for people so if you’re struggling with a mental health problem please reach out to one of the many crisis lines available around Oregon.

Hospitalization Communication

Going to the hospital on any day can be stressful. Communicating in a fast paced environment when we don’t feel well can be challenging. In normal times, hospitals must give services that help you understand what is being said and are supposed to ask you what services you need.

The hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic will be very different. Take time now to consider what you will need to take with you if you go to the hospital and how you will communicate with doctors, nurses and other health care staff. The following guides are intended to help you get ready for a hospital visit.
